What is your overall impression of the book? Lottie Moon: Giving Her All for China by Janet Benge My rating: 5 of 5 stars It is a wonderful book. I just want to read/listen to it over and over. It is a timeless book, so it doesn't really matter that she lived over a hundred years ago. Some of the lessons in her life, still apply to people today. Lottie does some things that even girls nowadays wouldn't think of doing, so she gets the rewards that the average person doesn't. View all my reviews What is the book about? *Disclaimer*: This is a work of fiction. Some events may be based on real life, but some events are made up. “Earth to Isabella!” Clara said an hour later. I startled. “Who said that?” I wrote. “Me, Clara, your cousin, you remember!? I said that about a thousand times! What has gotten into you!?” I shrugged and wrote, “I was just thinking.” “About what?” “I was thinking about lots of things like going to Japan, YeYe always apologizing, my dad and your dad passing away, and well, I’ve been thinking… if I should talk again. Ever.” I wrote the last part quickly, because it was kind of sad to think about. Clara was silent for a while. I would probably be, if I were her. It was hard to imagine not saying a single word in my life (after my dad died) except a few to my mom. But what if I told somebody something and they died, just like when I told my dad to get paint for me? I sighed and told myself to think about something happier. I turned to Clara and drew a picture...
So Many Ears One day, Clara was sitting on Ava’s basket for the fun of it. Then suddenly, a cloaked figure named Nabal jumped out of the sky and took Ava’s basket. Instead, a 2 headed panda arrived. At that moment Ava and Mingmei started pulling their sleeves like they were crazy. We were so tired of cheese that we took the passion fruit. We licked our lips and started examining the panda. We were tempted to pull it’s nose, but we knew better. Instead, Clara and Isabella took one ear and pulled and Ava and Mingmei took the other ear and pulled. Suddenly, there were now 4 ears on the panda. Then 6 and then 8 and then 10 ears. We pulled, pulled, pulled until there were ears all around the outline of the panda. He! He! Ha! Ha! So many ears! The End I hope you enjoyed this short and funny story!!!
