Book Review: A Single Shard

What is your overall impression of the book?

A Single ShardA Single Shard by Linda Sue Park
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

I think it was really good, since I really like the story. There was also a lot of details and imagery in the story, which I liked. The characters are quite interesting and exciting, so the book is also as a result. It is quite a sad story, so this can put people in depressed mood. I still really like the book though.

Who would you recommend/not recommend this book to?

I would recommend this book to people who like stories in Korea and like realistic fiction. It is set in a rural village in Korea, which makes me think about the past and a simple without many of our modern conveniences. If you like these kinds of books, I would recommend this book to you. I wouldn't recommend this book to people who do not like realistic fiction or sad stories. There are a lot of sad parts, so if you don't read this book if you don't like sad stories.

  2. It probably only took me three hours to read it. I don't remember because I read it around February and I only read it a little at a time. I would read about pottery but I wouldn‘t want to make pottery.
