Animal of the Week: Ducks
Fast Facts: Did you that not all ducks live in ponds? Some people have ducks as pets. Having ducks as pets have been more common during Covid-19. You probably know that a lot of people don't have a pond, so they get the kind of ducks that don't have to live in water. If you were wondering, they are still good at swimming. If you would like to have ducks, but you don't have a pond, that is still okay. These special ducks are called Runner Ducks. Just like their name, they can run very fast. Some pros of having ducks are that they can eat some of your pests, lay eggs, help you mow the grass in a small area, make really good fertilizer, leave nice warm feathers for stuffing, can have ducklings, and work as a nice alarm for when guests come to your house. Some cons of having ducks are they are smelly, poop everywhere, attract a lot of flies, are loud, need to fed and watered daily, can wake you up, can cost a lot of money to maintain, and may bully your chickens. ReplyDeleteI met Twix at a Zoo. She is so small that the Zoo needed to give her to someone, so I volunteered to keep her. Somewhere along the way, we became friends. You'll have to wait until next Sunday to see who the bible story teller is!!!

ReplyDeleteWhen I got Twix from the Zoo, that was already her name. It seemed like a very good name, so I wondered why I should change it.
