十四只老鼠吃早餐：Fourteen Mice Eat Breakfast

This is a video where Mei Makes reads the book "Fourteen Mice Eat Breakfast" to you in Chinese. This book is about fourteen mice that work together to make breakfast so that they can start their day.  You are welcome to follow along with her:

The front of the book and the back show all of the mice and their title in the family. When you first open the book, you can see the inside of their house with the mice inside! If you open to the next page, you can see the title, which in English is "Fourteen Mice Eat Breakfast". The next page is the actually story: (translated into English)

1) In the forest, the light had just started coming out, grandpa woke up early.  

2) Mom and grandma also already woke up, the little mice also all woke up. Who is still sleeping?

3) Good Morning. Good Morning. Dad also woke up. The eighth mouse quickly put on all of her clothes.

4) Splash! Splash! Use cold water to wash your face. It is so comfortable. Who hasn't finished sleeping?

5) Lets go pick tree berries. The oldest mouse and the eighth mouse walked in the very front. Oh! The second youngest mouse wants to come too even though she is very small. 

6) Carefully walk on the log bridge. The waterfall splashes and splashes. It is very refreshing here.

7) Oh! Those beetles are eating breakfast. There are also bees, cockroaches, and lady bugs. 

8)Tree berries are sweet and sour. Oh! Who first ate the tree berries?

9) Windchime Grass moves like the wind. Who is wearing the pretty hat?

10) This is the kitchen. (The sound of the dough thumping on the table.) The fire is burning very well. What is everybody working very hard on?

11) Finished baking! Finished baking! The bread finished baking! It smells very good! It is acorn bread.

12) The soup that dad made was very good to drink. The soup even had mushrooms. Yummy. Smells great.

13) We came back! All of our tummies are very hungry. Huh? Why is the second to youngest mouse crying? Lets quickly start eating.

14) Bread, soup, tree berries, fruit juice, berry jam. Breakfast is already ready.

15) Breakfast was made by everyone's teamwork. For the fourteen mice day has started.
