Lottie Moon: Giving Her All For China
What is your overall impression of the book?

Lottie Moon: Giving Her All for China

My rating:
5 of 5 stars
It is a wonderful book. I just want to read/listen to it over and over. It is
a timeless book, so it doesn't really matter that she lived over a hundred
years ago. Some of the lessons in her life, still apply to people today.
Lottie does some things that even girls nowadays wouldn't think of doing, so
she gets the rewards that the average person doesn't.

What is the book about?
The book is about Lottie Moon and her life. She lived from 1840-1912.
Lottie fell away from her Christian upbringing at a young age. Eventually,
she got saved and decided that she wanted to be a missionary in China. In
China, she had to face many challenges and difficulties, but she was
eventually able to overcome them.
Who are the main characters in the book?
The main character is Lottie Moon, since this is a biography about her life.
She was a missionary to China. She has spunk, so that caused her to do a lot
pranks before she became a Christian. She doesn't give up easily, so she will
try again and again until she gets the results that she desires. She really
loves telling people about her faith, so that is why she is a missionary.
What is your favorite part of the book?
My favorite part is when she handed out cookies on the streets of PIng Tu,
since the reader isn't sure what will happen. This is a foreign people, so
they have never met a white woman before. The people could throw
stones/mud/rotten fruit at her, laugh at her, insult her, not take her
cookies, or any number of bad things. I won't spoil the story, so go read
the book if you want to find out what happens.
What is your favorite character?
My favorite character is Lottie Moon, since she is the main character. Most
of the book focuses on her, so there aren't that many other options.😉 Other
than that, she is also a very brave and courageous woman. She does a lot of
things that many men won't do let along women. This leads her to be able to
have extraordinary adventures that are fun to follow along if you. (This is
especially true if you would never dare to do some of the things she did.)
Who would you recommend/not recommend this book to?
I would recommend this book to people who like biographies. Especially if
you are looking for a female lead, since there aren't too many of them out
there. If you like history, you may also like this book, since it references
a lot of different times, places, and events. I wouldn't recommend this book
to people that prefer fantasy or fiction. It contains a lot facts and real
events that happened, not some imaginative and creative story.
