We all turned around to see yellow stuff soaking his pants. “Ah!” Hayden shrieked. He started running to the bathroom, dripping yellow liquid behind him. Passer buyers watched him, confused, and interested. All of the rest of the children ran after him, careful not to step on the yellow liquid. I arrived just in time to see Hayden run in the female bathroom. Ava, Isabella, and I all casually walked in. We didn’t want to attract attention, I went to the bathroom and Isabella and Ava kept an eye on the stall that Hayden had chosen.
Isabella looked around the bathroom, and then peeked under the stall. I watched her over the bathroom stall, and I had to carefully stand on the rim of the toilet to see her, but I made sure nobody could see me. Isabella went into the next stall and locked the door behind her. She rolled under the stall into her brother's stall. He looked at her and frowned. I saw Hayden, facing the toilet cover, and the Yellow liquid bouncing onto the toilet cover, over Hayden’s head, and onto the toilet floor, forming a small puddle. He was peeing backwards! I saw Isabella take out her note book and write something, probably to tell him what he was supposed to do. This sure was a lot of excitement, and I wanted to see what was going on too!
I slowly pulled myself onto the walls of the toilet stall, and held on, so I wouldn’t fall into the toilet, and I jumped to the next toilet wall. As I jumped over I saw Ava go into the stall on the other side of Hayden’s stall, and lock the door. “What was that noise? "somebody outside the bathroom stalls said. When I finally landed, I noticed that Isabella and Hayden weren’t there. I also noticed that Ava was somehow inside instead. After about half of a minute, Ava whispered “I noticed that you were jumping with too much force, so I came in here just to make sure that somebody else didn’t come in and actually try to go to the bathroom.”
“Opps. Sore… My sentence got cut off by some loud singing, well, actually, now that I think of it, the singing sounded a little like chanting and in Chinese! “Oh boy. That must be Hayden because I’m pretty sure that no respectable person would do that. Besides, most people here are Japanese not Chinese.
Hayden continued on for a while, but stopped, when both moms came in. Isabella also got him to go to the bathroom the right way. We all headed back to ¹Ye Ye, ²Nai Nai, Malachi, and Austin. They still wore confused faces after we told them Hayden’s adventure. We all headed outside to meet our great uncle Harry and his wife, Ling Ling.
They picked us up at 10 minutes later because we left the airport/came outside to wait, at 7:40 because 7:30 plus 7:40. Oh boy, math sure is nice or Oh girl. That’s what Ava likes to say. Anyways, let's get back to what I was talking about earlier. Since there are so many people in my family, (2 dead people and 10 alive people) I went with Isabella, my mom, my aunt, and Li Li in Li Li’s car. Nai Nai, Ava, Malachi, Austin, and great uncle Harry’s car. Ye Ye also went in great uncle Harry’s car because Ye Ye is Harry’s brother.
Li Li was going to go to the grocery store to get some groceries. We got there precisely 17 minutes. The store was surprisingly big. Much bigger than our little store in San Jose, Oregon. The store smelled queer and had lots of dust in the corners, but not as bad as the turtle coop had smelled before Malachi had hired Austin to take all the of it out. I wished I could wear Malachi’s respirator or at least my panda bear mask that Nai Nai had made us. Even though the store smelled weird and there was a lot of dust in the corners on the ground, the store did have a lot of interesting items for sale. There were lots of strange fruits like square watermelon. Watermelon is a very delicious food, but I think that square watermelon is awfully suspicious.
There were also stacks and stacks of vegetables. Some were green, red, black, and even blue. Now, the blue ones are even more suspicious than the square watermelons. Who ever heard of blue vegetables. I think they were actually dyed blue and I have a theory that the blue vegetables actually taste horrible, even though they smell really good. You know, smells sure can be deceiving. One time, we accidentally grew this squash that smelled really good, so we decided to cook. After it was cooked, Ava tried it and it tasted horrible. I thought Ava was exaggerating, so I took a big bite out of it and it turned out Ava was right and I was wrong.
When Li Li had finished getting her groceries, we all piled back in her car and headed back toward the house. We walked up the driveway and up the stairs. I walked in first and then my mom. Finally my aunt walked in. The house was huge and there was like a million rooms! In the first room, there was a grand piano, a couch, a huge table, and still lots of room leftover.
“Isn’t this a cool house?” I asked Isabella. I expected her to nod or shake her head, but she didn’t. “Isabella?” I asked. Nothing happened. I spun around in all directions, but I didn’t see Isabella. Finally, Isabella came strolling in. “ You literally took 5 minutes just to get inside. Where were you? "I said. “I was just thinking about how life would change here, than in our farm.” Isabella wrote. I nodded.
Isabella, Ava, and I all went on a tour of the house. From the front of the house, it looked like there were two stories, but there were actually four stories. We first explored the first floor.
As you know, I already talked about the first room, so I won't talk about that. Anyways, there were seven other rooms on the first floor. There was a living room, a kitchen, a dining room, a room with hundreds of paintings that Isabella stared at in wonder, a room with Hayden and hundreds of insects, a and a big TV room to watch TV, the Democratic/Republican conventions every four years, or those debates.
Isabella went to the bathroom and she took so long. She probably found something to draw in the bathroom. I decided to try to investigate more about the thing that dropped on Isabella's head. I walked in and I heard an engine start. What was that sound???
