“Gardening Storage and Supplies Room. “ What does that mean?, I thought. There wasn't any dust. That’s weird. I don’t believe that this could actually be the place that we were looking for, but, nothenless, Isabella found a big pot. I frowned and then just shrugged my shoulders. I then just said, “At least we got the pot, even though this isn’t the place that I would think it belongs in.” Suddenly I heard my phone beep. Who would text me right now!? Nevertheless, I reached into my pocket, and grabbed my phone. I went to the Hangouts chat, and I realized Isabella was using the chat as temporary communication. I nodded at her. “Well, at least we got the pot. I wish there was dust.”I saw in the hangouts chat. I was so taken aback. Isabella hated dust, since it always made her sneeze like a million times.
After a while, I finally asked, “Well, should we get going, or what?” Isabella nodded, a nervous nod, and I sensed she wanted to tell me something. I pulled out my phone, and pointed at it. She nodded again, and pulled out her own. I heard my phone go “Beep, beep,”, so I checked it. She had written, “Lets go, but be careful. It will be hard to hide the pot, and we should try to avoid attention altogether, because A maid might come and follow us, and we will have no excuse. She might go to our room, and discover the parrot!” I wrote, “Okay,” and we slowly went out the door, but we left the pot behind. Once we had checked the coast was clear, Isabella darted back inside to grab the pot, and I thought. And thought. And thought. I thought about what was happening, and how me and Isabella were doing something very naughty. Very naughty indeed. I hoped I wouldn’t turn out to be as naughty as Hayden used to be. (Still kind of is.)
I looked around because I sensed someone was near, but I didn’t see anyone. Just when I was starting to get calm, I saw a human’s shadow out of the corner of my eye. I nodded at Isabella and Isabella nodded back. We had thought that this might happen, so we had decided that I would nod at Isabella to tell her that there was danger. Isabella opened the nearest door and we both quickly walked in. We couldn’t afford to be spotted by anyone. I was worried that there might be anyone in the room, but we would just have to hope for the best. As my eyes adjusted to the light, I saw a big object with things sticking out at the top. Weird, what could that object be?
I shivered. I was pretty sure I knew what it was and I was pretty sure that she would figure what was behind us, like 99% sure. I now really needed to hope for the best because 99% was a lot and 1% sure wasn’t good. I patted my tummy nervously, and I wrung my hands around, and reached out for the light button, hoping to dim the lights, but all I was met by was a solid wall. Airpod Ava, I thought, annoyed. I started making a list of nicknames for Ava like, Tech girl, Super tech, Ava and her alarmingly annoying Airpods, and the unstoppable airpod sidekick, just to name a few.
I saw Isabella take out her phone, and, although I had no idea why she was taking out her phone, I took out my phone just in case. I glanced at her, to see what she was going to do, and I saw her aim her phone at Ava. My mouth fell open, and my eyes widened. My eyebrows twitched suspiciously, and I managed to squeak, “W-w-w-what,” before I felt my teeth clench. Was she really going to do what it looked like she was going to do? Was she really going to… Suddenly blinding light filled the entire room, and I felt my heart stop racing, and my mouth close shut. Few, I thought. She didn’t hit Ava. Well, it would have probably made Ava faint, cause for some reason Ava was very sensitive to surprises that were bad, but hitting Ava was just unacceptable, and I was glad that Isabella was being acceptable. I flicked my phone light on too, and the room turned brighter than ever. I then saw Ava. We were definitely doomed. I couldn’t do anything to help!
Ava looked up, turned on the light, which made the room blinding, and then looked at us curiously. Isabella and I shuffled our feet to hide the bucket. “Oh, Hi Ava.” I said as casually as I could, even though I knew that it was of no use.
Ava gave me a frown, and said, “ What are you hiding behind your back, and why did you come into my room?” “Too bad you're not fat enough to cover whatever’s behind you.” she joked, and then laughed.
I didn’t know what to say, and I felt my cheeks flush a deep red. I regretted any wanting to be fat, a humiliating thought. If I did anything, Ava would find out. “Ummmm,” I said. I then couldn’t help shuffling my feet and looking blankly at Ava. Come on, I think you would be like me if you were in my place. Maybe if you spent year after year living with Ava, you would understand much more. Well, anyways, if you spend time with Ava or not, facts are facts.
“Aha! I caught you! And I know exactly what that means, when you look blank, and shuffle your feet, it means you're guilty!” Ava said, delighted, breaking into my thoughts. To be funny, she added a little “Hehe-Haha”. Literally, Ava? Why did you have to add that, it’s so rude!? Even though we were trying to not laugh, Isabella and I couldn’t help it. Ava laughed with us and I laughed so much that my tummy started hurting, but I couldn't help laughing some more. As I was about to let loose another giggle, Ava interrupted, and asked, “What are you guys hiding?” She glanced suspiciously around, and whispered, “I feel like we're being watched.” I had the same suspicious sensation, but I brushed it off. I actually felt relieved we were telling Ava, because then she could help us form a plan! I turned to Isabella, and then I suddenly remembered that she didn’t talk.
Since Isabella wouldn’t speak a word, I had to explain, and, even though there was only Isabella and Ava here, I still didn’t like being the center of attention. I sighed, knowing what was necessary, and launched into an explanation. I explained to Ava about the pot and the bird. After a while I winked at Isabella and she begrudgingly typed into her phone the rest of our explanation. Ha Ha, I thought.
Ava and I chatted as we emerged from the room, and walked down the hall, Isabella dragging the pot behind us. We talked about the weather and the yummy snacks in the snack room, since I loved snacks. Ava also talked about the cool technology here, but I was,uh, um, only listening half the time, afterall, we were only doing this to cover Isabella. Isabella was behind us dragging the pot, instead of next to us because we didn’t want anyone to see the pot, and she was trying not to make too much sound.
We soon went into our room and…...
